The Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

Children’s became the beneficiary of Polo in the Pines 3 years ago.  We continue to work with founder, Tina Fowler and her team, to raise money for pediatric cancer research and specifically the last three years, brain cancer research at the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorder’s Center at Children’s.

Doctors We Love

Each year, more than 16,000 children will receive a new cancer diagnosis. Last year alone 456 parents walked through the doors of the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and heard the devastating words, “your child has cancer.” That’s more than one family per day.

Asheville for the rest of us

My favorite memory of visiting Asheville, North Carolina, isn’t sipping a remarkable local beer or conquering a challenging mountain hike. The thing I remember most about my recent stay is the hotel turn-down service. I should have known when I was offered a glass of local cuvée at check-in that more nice things were about to happen to me. Later that…
