Feeling Good in 2018

After talking to personal trainers, coaches and yogis for this new year fitness issue, one common thread ran through our conversations. Having FUN.

Sure, pushing yourself to the special place that makes your quads shake and bootie burn is rewarding. But, trainers are finding that what makes us come back for more, is community for commiseration and lots of laughter.  An emphasis on finding a fitness path that leads us to that happy place is part of the plan for personal trainers and coaches who truly understand what makes us tick. And sweat.

If you’re like me, you’ll think harder about getting in shape this month and I am thrilled to bring you a quickie workout (the best kind) that will kick it into high gear. It’s about feeling good and looking good (but mostly feeling good).

Our magazine is looking good this month, don’t you think? Our Lifestyle Publications family is now 50+ strong, with magazines across the country, from Del Mar, California (where one of our former writers, Ruksana Hussain, is now at the helm as editor) to Hartford, Connecticut, and Rochester, Michigan, down to Birmingham, Alabama. Like your magazine, each Lifestyle Publications book has its own personality reflecting its readers. But, all are communities that value family, local businesses and giving back.

We hope you like the new look and continue to encourage you to submit story ideas about your neighbors who are working hard to make our community special. Make it your new year’s resolution to send me a note about a new business, charity or friend who is doing something remarkable. I know they are out there!

Happy New Year!
