Find the true “fight club” experience at Buckhead Fight Club, a 15,000-square-foot underground gym adorned with graffiti and a variety of fight posters and banners. Owner and trainer Terri “The Boss” Moss is a retired women’s boxing champion and 2015 inductee in the International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame.
Established in 2013, Buckhead Fight Club (BFC) offers boxing programs for all levels of fitness, for all ages. Clients enjoy boxing for fitness or can sharpen their competitive edge with professional and amateur training. White collar boxing has also gained popularity and Buckhead Fight Club is the training home of Atlanta Corporate Fight Night, the series Terri Moss created in 2010. ACFN is an event designed for business professionals to train for a black tie charity event, then face an opponent of similar skill on fight night with proceeds going to charities. With the success of ACFN, white collar boxers will now have the opportunity to showcase their skills in an international setting: ACFN goes international, traveling to Cancun in October. In addition to boxing, the gym also offers Krav Maga, judo, on-camera combatives, and guided chaos.
Since opening, BFC has hosted amateur boxing tournaments to include the 2017 Georgia Golden Gloves, and in 2015 “The Clash of Champions,” which featured the women’s Olympic boxing teams from the United States and China. This July BFC was the scene of the Underground Showdown, the first professional card promoted by Terri Moss. The Underground Showdown was a sold-out event, and the series will continue November 4, with hard hitting, entertaining boxing action designed to spotlight up-and-coming boxing stars.
The spotlight is always on BFC. The unique venue is a popular location for film, commercials and television series. “The Trap,” an indie film directed by Chris Robinson and starring rapper T.I, Queen Latifah and Mike Epps, filmed at the gym in July; Premier Boxing Champions has filmed commercials featuring retired heavyweight legend Evander Holyfield and Ludacris; TV series filmed at BFC include Married at First Sight, Black Ink Crew and Necessary Roughness.
is a professional boxer, trained by retired world champion and women’s boxing hall of fame inductee Terri Moss at Buckhead Fight Club. On July 1 Deonte won his pro debut with a unanimous decision over Stephon McIntyre, a fighter with veteran experience.
Deonte brings the excitement of athleticism, slick boxing style and southpaw stance to the ring which combine to create trouble for his opponents. After an amateur career that included Georgia Golden Gloves and Title World Championship wins, Deonte is focused on his professional career. He devotes 6 days a week to training, at least four hours a day. Training includes bag work, mitts, circuit training, and calisthenics every day. Away from the gym, Deonte is a family man, enjoying time with his son and daughter, reading in the library and spending time with his friends.

NOTE: Our editor, Sue met Terri at Atlanta Corporate Fight Night a few years ago and had a blast. Sue was impressed with the caliber of boxing, the finesse of the event and how each boxer (accountants, lawyers, CEOs) were supported by their cheering colleagues and families. Consider training for the event to raise funds for your favorite nonprofit. You might learn you’re tougher than you think!
