Arbiter of style, Jeffrey Kalinsky, creator of two namesake boutiques in Atlanta and Manhattan, joined Event Chairs Lila Hertz, Jeffrey McQuithy and Louise Sams in producing the official kick-off to the fall social season: Jeffrey Fashion Cares 2017 last month. Held at Phipps Plaza in the heart of Buckhead, the event celebrated its 25th anniversary and included a reception followed by a live auction and runway show featuring Kalinsky’s style selections from high-end designers such as Gucci, Celine, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Valentino, Dries van Noten, Saint Laurent Paris, Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik.
The 25th anniversary of Jeffrey Fashion Cares benefitted Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta, the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF), and the Medical University of South Carolina. Last year’s sold-out event raised nearly $700,000 for the organizations, and in its history, Fashion Cares has grown into one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer benefits in the country. We are waiting for this year’s grand total and know it will be impressive. You’re so generous! For the 2017 philanthropic affair, guests mixed, mingled and enjoyed an unforgettably stylish evening in a completely transformed and private environment in the Monarch Court at the recently renovated Phipps Plaza. BuckHaven Lifestyle’s editor, Sue G. Collins is proud to be one of this year’s Media Consultants, working to support Atlanta AIDS Fund in memory of her dear brother, Dan Sparling. While we couldn’t bring you an album of runway shots and party pictures at press time (watch our October issue for those!), we’re glad to give a nod to past years’ successes with these fun photos.
